Your USC spouse MUST file an I-864 even with zero income. Anyone else who is at least 18 and a USC or LPR and who resides in the U.S. may also file an I-864 in order to help you out.

Very few applicants can find a non-relative willing to make such a commitment. Be sure that you really need someone else. Check the I-864P on www.uscis.gov when you get the I-864 and instructions.

i need someone alse because my wife doesn't meet the income require! and that the reason i ask my friend :)

How far is she below the income requirement? What about her assets and your assets? Assets can be used to offset the income requirement.

Are you inside or outside the US? If inside, are you employed legally? Your legally authorized income can be combined with hers.

We were in same boat. You can ask your joint sponsor to seal the document in a big envelope and you can put that together with your other documents opr you can give all your documents and he can mail it.
