help: I-94 expired &485 approval!

my i-94 expired on june 30th 2001.I have applied for h1 renewal,
Also have ead & ap.but never used it. now would that create problem
for pp stamping?I do not have receipt for h1 renewal with me. my
lawyer has it & I am planning to go for stamping tomorrow. Should
I wait & take receipts with me & go later or should I go tomorrow
& just get over with it???

I do not think it will create a problem. You applied for i-485 before
the expiration of i-94 and you are in Adjustment status.

Don\'t worry. You should be fine as long as you dont blabber before INS official.

My friend\'s I-94 had expired, his 6 year period ended and the H1 extension was applied. He went to Newark and stamped his PP without any hassles. It is the people who give unnecessary explanations and detailed (which was not asked for) replies get in to trouble.

Be brave and wise when you go for stamping. All the best.

It would be comforting if you go with the h1 renewal receipt.
If you have to go tomorrow, you can ask your lawyer to send you just a FAX copy
of the receipt so that you can present to them.
