Im an international student from Hong Kong (UK Citizenship) under-graduated in Dec06 on his OPT (expires Jan 2008) working for a private company in Los Angeles. Terrible news came recently I was not selected in the H1B Lottery...
Employer mentioned the only solution is to get into a part-time Master's and keep working full-time. And reapply H1B again next year. I'm extremely depressed and confused as it won't work from what I heard from the schools.
Doing my research and realize that there's a J-1 trainee status... My intention is to keep working full time here No Matter how... so Folks, is this possible/difficult? How? Should I just tell my employer to work on this?
I wish if anyone can address my concern as it'll ruin my entire life planning if I need to deport
