Folks,

my wife was on H1 for while in 2001, i put her back on dependent visa now. her h1 employer refuses to to give experience letter, inspite of giving us the H1 papers and the salary slips.

do you\'ll think it is a must document.

Thanx

Who is the primary?

If you are the primary then you dont need wife\'s experience letter. She is the dependent and will ride your case.

Saheb, how about DS 230 Part I

dont you have to fill a DS230 part I for your spouse too. And if so, you do have to specify the work experience.

Yes You do need DS 230 I and all the other forms for her too

But the experience for her does not need confirmation..... Her experience is not the basis for your application

Re: "ride your case"

"... the dependent will ride your case."

Sorry for the off topic note, but I did find it funny.

Immibrat: while your spouse will submit a DS 230 with all the relevant information about employment history, she does not need to supply experience letters. Evidence of legal stays in the US (H1 papers, unexpired I-94, visa, etc.), where applicable, are sufficient.

If you have her paystubs , just take them, you will be OK without them also

And try to screw the employer, when you come back.
