Help for EAD/AP

My wife\'s case just got transfer to local INS and we want to fly outside of the Country on May. My wife has valid H1B status (not visa) until end of this year. EAD/AP will be expired beginning of June and never applied for renew EAD/AP because I think GC should be on the way. But who knows she is not so lucky. The question is that if she use AP re-enter USA, does that means that her H1B status will be lost and she will be on EAD to work. Since her EAD will be expired soon and did not have new EAD, she will not be able work any more??? What I understand that AP is tired with EAD. Is that true?? When the people enter USA using AP, did they check EAD?

For a derivative applicant especially,

If she uses AP she has to start using EAD generally. Apply for EAD renewal now. Do you want to risk problems in status or want to spend 120$?
