I applied for a green card through marriage. Everything was going fine and our interview was scheduled for August 15th.
My wife (US Citizen) was picked up last week on drug possesion charges and since she was on probation her bond was revoked and will not be getting out anytime soon according to the laywers.
What can I do? Do I simply postpone the interview? What will happen if she does not get out soon? Can I keep postponing the interview?
I contacted a couple of lawyers and they just told me to postpone and hope for the best. They don't believe it will turn out good for me.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

How come "Everthing was going fine" when your wife had drugs in possession???
Were you not aware of this? Did you try to stop her?

Postpone, with the correct reason that spouse is unavailable due to incarceration. I do not see why this would go badly for you. A competent lawyer can fight any notice of intent to deny in court due to circumstances beyond your control. I am not aware of a spouse being inadmissible for crimes involving moral turpide by the citizen-spouse either.

How she came to possess drugs is irrelevant to this discussion.
