Reading the information from USCIS reagarding AOS for Asylee I find myself with these 3 questions, before assembling my package:

1) My Birth Certificate is not in English. Does it have to be translated? Can I translate it myself ?
2) The medical exams are ready. Could I include them along with the I-485 package? ( It seems to be the last item in their posted requirement list )
3) Is it allright to send copies of my taxes from the Social Security Addministration Statement for the 1 year evidence requirement? Or Could I send last december pay stub which includes the whole year income. I don't want to request a letter of employment to H.R.

Thanks for your Opinions / Advice.

1. Yes. It is best for a third party like a friend to do the translation.

2. Yes.

3. What about use rent/mortgage payments?

thanks Colombian PR and thankful for your advise.

thankful: I don't have neither for item 3. Lease is under my friend's name.
How about a copy of my W2 from my employer?

Colombian PR: I-94 appears to be an additional item on the list. I think they want something else.

By the way, Can I send my G-325A in advance as well. I think the less opportunity for them to send RFEs the quicker the case should be resolved, Don't you think?

They are generous with the one year evidence requirement. They have said that the applicant can just submit a notarized statement if they do not have documentation.

As far the one year goes, I submitted my a copy of my I-94 and I was never asked to submit anything else.

As far as translation goes, I think it is good to have certified translators. I have seen a number of people with documents that need to translated and they always had certified translators translate their documents. I am not sure if friends and relatives can translate. It is easy to find certified translators. Also it is good to submit whatever you have and wait for what the USCIS do. In most cases if they need additional information they will ask for it at a later date.
Medical exam is another issue. In my experience, if you submit medical exam along with your initial application package, chances are that they will ask for it when they also wanna you to the bio. I don't really know why, but most of the case I have seen it happens. but if you have the medical ready you have no choice but to send it...good luck

Unless you hold on to them. I also read they are valid for a year, don't they?
