HELP~ Anyone know if more quota is coming for this fiscal year 2007

Dear all,

1) I am not sure if US Senate has approved "doubling H1 B visas". Does anyone know?

2) if so, does it apply to this fiscal year 2007?

that was ridiculous that the quota ran out in a night...49000 were occupied as of 5/25.....but cap was reached on 5/26. I just got an offer letter on 5/24........OPT is expiring soon. I cant wait for next fiscal year

I think you are a student, as you talked about your OPT running out. For all students that did M.S. or PhD, there is an additional 20,000 visa quotas. So, I would recommend that you do a bit investigation about it.
 
I have the Same qsn as described and I am on H4 Visa

Does any one know if the visas got increased from this year only?
And also I cannot find any information abt the increased visa information anywhere. So if anyone knows any information pls share with me. Its really Urgent
