Help, there could be many cases like these in this bad market

Hi All Friends who can give a honest advise,

what should anyone do if they are laid off with their 485 approval expected in 1 or 2 months. Also, if at all they manage to get a similar job, is it necessary that the pay should be equal or more or can it be less too? or will the pay matter at all. Also if he doesn\'t manage to get a job by the time he goes for stamping, what kind of supporting documents does he need from his previous company.

Thanks in advance

Has 180 days passed after

RD ? Search this forum for discussions regarding this .Also look at
Murthy\'s chat forum . Lot of information has been posted about this.
Good Luck !

Thanks tsa,

yes 180 days has passed, RD 07/01 and approval is close going by the trend seen on this forum and immitracker.

From what I understand..

See whether this is covered under the 180 days rule. After 180 days have passed from the 485-RD date, you may work for another employer and still keep your 485 in progress. If not, hope your case is not adjudicated within 180 days, which is usually the case. So, you may work for an employer other than the one sponsored your case. Make sure the job description, title and salary match those mentioned in your labor application. Hopefully, you can find a job before your case is assigned to an officer. Sometimes, RFEs are generated for employment letter and pay stubs. If such an RFE is generated and if you have a job, you should be OK. Otherwise, just hope that the RFE is not generated or an interview is not called.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
