hi everyone !

first of all i appreciate all your replies to my post !

i have 2 years green card and i left the state on may 25th 2009 . got approval for my 10 year green card on july 13th 2009 , can i stay overseas for more than six months if not ! can go back to the state for only one month to avoid termination for my residence ! and then leave the state ?

thanks in advance for all your help

it doesn't matter whether you have a conditional or an unconditional card. You must reside in the US. If you are absent for more than 6 months, you need to have proof that you still reside in the US and don't have any intentions of abandoning your PR. Now, if you spend more time outside the US than in the US, you will have a hard time proving that you reside in the US.
