HELP - A question about reapplying for naturalization

Hi, everyone.

When I sent in my N-400 app last year, I thought I only needed to have lived in the US for at least 5 years. It turns out I was wrong, and I needed to have been a greed card holder for 5 years. So I'm not complaining about the fact that I was denied naturalization.

My question is, when can I reapply? Whenever I want, or is there a mandatory waiting period? According to the USCIS website, the date when I can reapply is on the letter of denial that they sent me, but I don't see such date. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for the help in advance!

If you applied too early, you are eligible to apply as soon as you have completed your requirements, and there is no waiting period.

Of course those requirements include 5 years of continuous residence after you became a permanent resident. You can apply 90 days (recommended to apply around 85 days) before the 5 year anniversary of your permanent resident status. As cafeaulait ;) has pointed out there is no penalty period in your case, apply when you comply with all requirements of physical presence, continuous residence and any other requirement.
