I sent a response to the RFE without the original i-797 instead I have a copy of that, my lawyer is telling me that you cannot imagine the consequences of this, Did this happen to anyone?

How long it is taking for INS to open the RFE responses

It there any approximate time that some one can tell me with their experience

It was for Medical

INS wanted a chest X-Ray done, And my doctor gave a letter that People don\'t need a X-Ray if the skin test reaction is less than 5MM, It was 2 mm for me.

so why do you need to send your original I-797.....

I am getting confused.....pardon me if I am a little slow in understanding....what did your lawyer say...and how did this issue of I-797 get raised......what documents are you supposed to submit for the RFE...just the medicals ....right?.......

You need to send the blue form that is the RFE document from INS

When you respond for the RFE you need to enclose the original blue colored RFE document, otherwise INS is not going to treat that as the RFE response and according to the other chat discussions, It seems if you don\'t enclose the blue colored document INS is going to put that in trash.
