Hello, a quick question about the filing fee to USCIS

hi, I just file the citizenship application yesterday; i have encountered a small problem.

I purchased money order from USPS to send the filing fee to the department of homeland security; however I accidentally put 700 dollars down instead of the exact amount of 680$.

I am worrying that the application will be declined due to this mistake; unfortunately I have already paid for the money order and the package has been sent. My friends at UC Davis didn't catch this mistake when he was helping me review the application.

so i am just a little bit worry right now. has anyone here had similar situation in the past or is knowledgeable about issues like this?

much thanks to the people on this forum~

I doubt they would return ur payment if you overpaid by $20. Now try to underpay by $1 and see how quickly u get denied.

They will send you the entire package back, along with the check and a notice. Over payment will not be accepted. I got my travel document package sent back to me because I over wrote on a check for $5.00.
