First of all a heartiest Congratulations..... we all know how relieved you must be now and I am really very happy for you. Yes, we did read a lot of your recent posts with all the analysis/paralysis about USCIS conspiracy, and know how tensed up you were.

Really glad that you got what you both were waiting for, but hope you will stay engaged in this forum the way you have been recently. Good luck with the Oath and keep us posted....:D

Thanks dude! You are one of those guys who's posts I always tried to read - good stuff ....... and for some odd reason, I keep thinking it's "Hudakaan" - a Star Wars character :)

I'm not up to speed on your situation, but I sincerely hope all things turn out great for you!

Thanks dude, you are a late bloomer - a rookie you joined "immiportal" late in the game with us big dogs, but you are in man - YOU gave me good luck!! Now, all we need is some good news from you. Wait -- let me go do a fire dance ..... Okay I'm back. You will get good news soon!

Thanks to you too! Man, I really enjoyed reading your informative posts - you are one of those guys who always helped the needy on this board. Good luck man.

Finally, well, not finally, I will keep in touch here and give you all a run down of the oath ceremony - Austin has a mega one! My 20 year journey is officially winding down and I feel a great sense of accomplishment (dang - I should have applied for USC back in 2001 when I was eligible)...... Citizenship is a very near and dear accomplishment for all of us on this board. My heart REALLY goes out to those stuck in that miserable name check and those who are simply languishing in the pile. I KNOW God will help you all in due course.

I will finally sleep well tonight....

Hi mario123,

Thanks for the nice words. I understand that the wait from interview to actually receive the oath letter has to be nerve wrecking. In my case I try to exercise as much patience as possible, however it is sometimes difficult to do. I am still waiting for my interview letter. I will start worrying when/if people start getting interview letters around my priority date or later. So far San Jose office hasn't caught up with my priority date. If everything goes well I would estimate getting a letter in a month or two. My only concern is that the way things are going the naturalization process might interfere with summer vacation plans :(

Congratulations again, I am sure it has to be a big relief to have the oath letter on hand :)

And for my nickname in the board, if you don't know already what Huracan means, you could Google it up and either see the text results, or for more visual impact check the images result (no, it isn't anything bad) ;)

Ok Huracan, I must say you have made a whole new impression on me after seeing the google results of the images, very powerful indeed.

Mario,

Make sure you hang around after your oath to reassure folks that the oath letter will eventually show up

Sure

Mario,

Flydog - It was you who spoke some wise words a few weeks ago when I was really bummed out after speaking to the IO. Thanks a lot!. I really hope things get squared away w/your daughter's N-600.

BTW - I think it's really great that you take the time to help a lot of people out on this board even though you are already a USC. It's people like you who make this BBS an invaluable tool for the 100's/1000's who frequent here. Boy, I sure learned a lot.

Hi Mario,

Congratulations. Finally your wait is over. Enjoy.

Please keep coming and helping us fellow travellers.

Take care

Thank you Mario,

I'm hoping for good news too. We are at the mercy of the USCIS at this stage, I, can't really focus or do anything without thinking about this ordeal. Congratullations again, stick around, and let us know how the Oath ceremony went. Enjoy you releif from the biggest burden.

Mario,
Good news. I guess you'lll never know what delayed your wife's oath for over 2 months.

Nothing is over with USCIS until it's REALLY over. I personally know at least 7 cases wherein people were deported AFTER their N-400 got approved. For example, in one of those cases a woman ended up in enjoying the happy moment so hard once her N-400 got approved that she drank so much of drink which made her to get involved in DUI accident which caused fatal injuries to others. She was placed on a deportation proceeding and eventually was deported because one cannot be considered a US citizen until Oath is taken.

Not that she was expecting this to come. And I'm sure people who are reading this might be thinking that it could never happen to them, but you never know. Things happen in a strange way, sometimes. If it's not drinking then something else. Having said that it's my opinion to hold happy moments until Oath is taken.

Just my opinion....

I reckon the advice came one day too late. Mario is probably lying in his bed right now, groaning from his hangover after drinking 2 gallons of celebratory hard liquor last night... :D

Yeah, I don't think I have ever driven as carefully as I did between my interview and my oath. I felt a cloud of impending catastrophe circling the car during that month or so.

You Guys !!!!! Stop freakin' out Mario and others, let him celebrate this moment.
We should all be careful all the time, not just for the time between Interview and Oath. A great Philosopher, Forrest Gump, once said "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get"

Enjoy Mario :D
