Health Insurance check at POE????

I'll be visiting US on visitor visa within next couple of days. My question is, the immigration officer at POE ask to produce proof of health insurance before entering US???????

When I had my parents here in teh US , they were not asked about the health insurance. therefore, its not a mandatory.

I was never asked to provide such proof when I visited the US dozens of time before moving here. Having said that, any visitor at any time may be asked to produce such proof.
