Having a representation at the interview

I am considering bringing along a lawyer to my interview so I can make sure aside from being truthful I don't forget anything and say something inaccurate, the downside is of course the associated cost, so I would like to know the benefits of doing this better.

What are the benefits of bringing along a lawyer to the citizenship interview? Does the lawyer answer the questions for the application? (except for test questions of course)

Will bringing a lawyer along affect how a case is judged? (i.e. will the officer be more strict because another person is present?)

Have any of you done this?

AFAIK a lawyer is not allowed to answer questions on your behalf. My understanding is that they basically are only there to make sure the interview doesn't deviate from correct line of questioning.

I don't see any benefit in having a lawyer present at interview unless your case is overly complicated. A lawyer is there to guide you, but ultimately you must answer to the questions.
