I applied for citizenship in August and got receipt notice. The receipt date is 8/18/2010 and priority date is also 8/18/2010. When I checked the online status it says a RFE was mailed on September 3rd. I assume it's the FP notice. But I have not got any FP letter or any other letter from USCIS. Should I wait or call the USCIS? Please help.

Haven't got FP letter yet even though online status changed to RFE

I would try to call USCIS. They typically ask to wait for 30 days, however in my case RFE was sent out on August 11 and my fingerprint appointment was scheduled for August 26 which is only15 days after they sent itout. So if my appointment has been lost on mail I would've missed my appointment and my application would've deen considered abandund.

Call then and tell then it is lost in the mail, they will issue you a new one immediately. Apparently, if after 15 days of USCIS mailing a document to you, you haven't received it, then they can resend to you or do something like sending a pigeon to personally hand deliver, provided you area receives USPS pigeon mail service....
