I have a F1 Visa that is about to expire in 3 weeks.

I am getting married next week, aug 26.

My question is: I want to get married by church in Brasil, how will this affect me?

What paper work do i need?

What kind of problems will i encounter?

My fiance is a US born.

Please help.

Thanks

There is not enough information to answer you question. Are you currently in the US, or in Brazil? When you say your fiance is US born, is that person a US citizen? When you say what paper work you need, do you mean for your marriage, or for re-entry to the US? Well, your visa status will not affect your marriage in any way, but your marriage might affect your visa status.

my fiancee is a US citizen, and we curently live in San Francisco.

how would my F1 visa affect me from becoming a full citizen once im married?

Nothing happens to your F1 status just because you marry a US citizen. After marriage you however have the option of applying for a green card, and the later on for US citizenship. But this does not happen automatically. During the green card process, you will file for adjusting your status to permanent resident. Until that time you will be in F1 status. Your F1 status does not affect the green card process. However once you start the green card process, you might encounter great difficulty in renewing F1 visa (in case you need to renew it). The timing would be the key here.
