Have AP and apply for Renew & Traveling

I have AP valid till July 2005. I have applied in March 2005 for renewal. If I go india on May and come back before July 2005 on First AP. and during time second AP approve or get RFE. Is there any problem ?

Anyone have suggestion ?

I am also in the same situation for my wife. If you return before first AP expires and use first AP then 100% no problem. If you enter using second AP after first AP expires then it is mixed (this forum will say 100% it cannot be done, my lawyer says it is ok). If you get RFE, you need to reply within 30 days.
