Has medicaid come after any sponsors?

Per the I-864, medicaid is a need-based benefit, and has the right to sue sponsors for any payments it made to a sponsored GC holder.

My lawyer said medicaid does have this right, but in her experience she is unaware of any case where medicaid has actually sued a sponsor.

Does anyone on this board have experience with medicaid claims for GC holders? Were any sued for reimbursement by medicaid?

Medicaid regulations differs from state to state. I know in New York State Medicaid has not come after anyone. What state are you in?

I'm sponsoring my father for GC, who will spend time in both Massachusetts and California.

Massachusetts is particularly interesting because due to Universal Healthcare, Medicaid pays premiums instead of claims, and is available to GC holders of less than 5 years.

Just reasking this question - Does anyone have experience regarding whether Medicare has come after green card sponsors in California or Massachusetts?
