Has anyone use Advance Parole before?

Hi...MY advance parole for travel has been approved and I still have my I-485 pending. I would like to return home but a few people told me that it is still risky to travel despite having an approved advance parole. I have called USCIS a few times and they told me it is fine to travel.

Has anyone here travel using the advance parole documents before? And if so, do you have any problem re-entering? Thanks!

If you have never been out of status, you should be fine. I came back with no problem at all.

They stopped me and asked too many question on my Green card but I have never had any problems with advanced parole.
You should be all good. Dont worry. Get all the documents with you and if they ask you for something while coming back you should be able to show it to them.

Good Luck.

Like others mentioned here, if you had never been out of status, you wont have a problem using your AP.

Here is some more information on what you can expect when you enter US using AP.

Anytime you re-enter the US, there is always a risk if you are not a citizen. A LPR has a lot more rights then a AOS applicant at a POE. If the POE officer finds any problems, then you can be denied entry as being inadmissible. Just because others did not have a problem does not mean you will not have a problem. Each case is different.

Talk to an experienced immigration lawyer in your area. Most charge 50.00 - 100.00 for a consultation. They can look over your case and give you their opinion. But in the end, everyone just has an opinion, the POE officer will decide.

Just got back today

I used my advance parole with no problems. The officer asked me regular questions about how, who and when with my status. he asked for my employment card which I forgot to take. he said that I should always travel with it when using adv parole because it is considered a supporting document. I'm sure I saw a post about that, but i completely forgot. After joining the immi line you have to go to a diff room and it took me about 5 mins.
