I had applied for the I-485 with the understanding that it was taking an average of about 12 - 15 months for a GC approval.
My 485 was filed the first week of Nov, '05 and I recvd my 1st FP notice for 3rd week/Mar/2005. I recheduled my FP aptmt once and recvd the 2nd notice for 2nd week/June/2005. I am still single and would like to defer the FP.
Questions I have are,
1. Is there a known restriction on the number of times a FP can be rescheduled.
2. Has anyone rescheduled the 2nd FP notice and if so, were there any issues with that rescheduling ? (bcos the person was single and was trying to buy more time till he got married).
3. How long is it currently taking for a GC approval after completing the FP'ing.
4. If a GC is denied due to rescheduling a 2nd FP, is there an option to re-open the case and consider it or does it have to be considered 'dropped' !?
