Has anyone received FP notice for CA transferred cases

My I485 was filed in CA in March 2006
Transferred to Texas in March 2006
Not yet received FP Notice
When should I expect the notice?
(I'm planning to travel outside the country for 2 weeks) Should I wait until FP is done?

Does the FP notice gives short notice?
Any info would be helpful

FP notice seems to be pretty random too, so I won't wait for it. Worst case, you can always reschedule it.

For our case, FP notice was sent mid April while we were in Asia, but it was scheduled for early May (roughly two weeks after the notice was sent).
We never receive the notice (even though we have roomates at home) but the attorney informed us and forwarded her copies to us.
