Has anyone met this weird RFE response?

I received RFE in May, and responded in July. And 2 days after the delivery day, I got a LUD without content change. Then next day, the status changed to approval notice sent.

Today we received a note with all the response package back:confused: . The note is dated on the same say as the approval day, and it says that the case has been decided before the documents is being received and so the information is no longer needed. The status online is still the same as approval notice sent and the lud is still old.

Anyone met this kind thing before? BTW, we have not received the approval notice yet.

Thank you.

congrats on ur i-140 approval.

I think the status may not chnage sometimes - this what USCIS written if you read at the end of your Portfolio page. I could read this today.

Please see from USCIS webpage - * Note on "Last Updated" date:
Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email Notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.

lakksh, thanks for your reply first.

If so, it is so coincident, since the approval day is the SAME as the note day which says that the case has been decided, so return my RFE response documents.

Hi TSC-EB1B-RFE,
congrats on ur approval. I am in the same situation. I finished my Ph. D in 2006. I am planning to apply for EB1-OR (research scientist) through university. My employer ready to write permanent offer letter. I am only thinking of my experience because it requires three years of experience. Could u please suggest me in this? Your suggestions are highly valuable for me. Did u put ur TA experience in the application. How did u high lite the 3 years research experience? How many publications u have?

Thanks

Teaching counts if you take full responsibility, otherwise, just mention it, not highlight it.
Research experience is the key. RA towards advanced agree can be counted as experience only if it is outstanding with major contribution.

Hi TSC-EB1-RFE,
Thanks for ur suggestion. If u don't mind could u please send me the some format letters submitted after the RFE as I am in the same situation like you Ph.D with one year experience. That will be very helpful to me. here is my email id tony456@gmail.com

Wondering how you guys can self file EB1-OR. Doesn't it has to be filed by the employer ?. In my case, my Univ. already gave me a permanent job letter (I am a research scientist)- but they tell me that if they want to be the petitioner, I have to go through the univ. assigned lawyers and I have to pay the lawyer fees. So, I am trying EB2-NIW. I am pretty confident of my qualifying EB1-OR though. If you some of you could spell out how you managed to do it- I can try EB1-OR (instead of EB2-NIW, which is tough). Thanks

Hi Helpinghand,

I am going through university lawyer and applying for EB-1 OR. I am trying to gather the information from people who already gone through the RFEs and stuff. I am sure I will get the RFE because of experience(Ph. D+1 year Exp.). I am in same situation like TSC-EB1B-RFE. Thats y I want to to high lite the outstanding nature of my work in my reco letters and would like to high lite the international recognition of my work. Its better if anybody has that type format letters and who already gone through the same process. I am trying my best.
thanks
