Came to US on L1 Visa.
After working on L1 Visa for 4 months, converted my H1B to L1 visa.
After my H1B is approved with I-94, I continued working on L1 visa for 2 weeks and after that I left to India.

After staying 6 months in India, I got H1B stamping based on my old H1B which was approved while I was in US.

After my H1B stamping, I came to US on H1B and started working on H1B. Now, Iam applying for H1 Extension.

When I file my H1 Extension, without issuing I-94, will INS is going to ask me to go out of country and get my H1B stamp again?

Please throw some light.

As long as you are maintaining status when you filed extension, chance you do not get I-94 is very low.
