Hi, all those EB1 and NIW filers,

I have been trying to called INS at VSC to find out what is the current procession stage(time) regarding EB1 and NIW cases, but never get through. I noticed in the VSC 485 thread, those guys got many helpful info by talking to INS over the phone. My cases in already gone to 192 days (over the 180 day timeframe as in the notice receipt), I am eager to know what is the status of my case !

I knew from somewhere, as of Sept. 27, the I140(assuming the EB1 and NIW cases) procession time at VSC is Feb 12, however, as of June, the I140 procession time is already up to Feb 4 or Feb 6, I just cant believe it.

So frustrating !

If you call the number during the evening, you can use the automated voice system. It will give you the status of your case. There is also a website site (from www.ins.gov) that allows you to check online.

It's no secret that the VSC has stopped most processing for their yearly audit. They should be starting up again soon.

Getting through to a service center is truly a miracle. My petitions were at the VSC, but my green card actually came from the TSC. After receiving my welcome letter, it told me my card should be arriving shortly. When it did not, I had to call. Almost a week and half to get through.

Hi Brian, I am curious how did the GC come from TSC when everything was filed at VSC?? Please illuminate.

Alien registration and issuance of the actual card are processed at the TSC for all Consular Processing (which is what I did) cases except when the POE is in California, where it is processed by the CSC. The welcome letters came from the TSC while the cards came in a non-descript envelope with a Kentucky postmark.
