Has anyone applied for RTD lately?

Any idea how long is taking to get a RTD? In the website it states that they're processing Dec 5/06, almost 5 months.

Any experience lately?

I applied in February and have been following closely
The processing time Dec/5/6 has not changed for about 45 days. Indeed on march 15 when the website was updated the processing time was Dec/5/6. Currently on April 18 when it was updated again it still says processing time is Dec/5/6.:(
 
I applied in late February,and i am hoping to travel in early may.Will i be able to receive it before the 12th on May 2007?

I don't know the anwer to your question since the processing times on the USCIS website has bocome so confusing. I hope to travel in may as well. They are sooooo slow. I have heard stories of people getting their RTD in less than a month, sometime 2 months
 
I applied one back in November 21, 2006. Still nothing. Called them up since it's outside the date. They sent me a letter stating it's basically still within the processing time, and mine is on the way to an IO. They'll give me an answer within 60 days.

Meanwhile my wife's got approved in January. Applied at the same time. Since most country required 6 months validity. At this point we pretty much kiss our Europe trip goodbye.

It's almost they're trying to find a way to wreck my trip. Let see if we approved them at the same time they can go together. How about if we approved the husband 6 months after the wife?
 
Im in the same boat as you guys... I applied in mid-early January and I am still waiting... I hope to go in my school's Summer Study Abroad progarm to China in June 28....
Im checking the processing time very closely... hopefuly well get it soon...

May I ask you how did you remind them(letter, call, local center). I am travelling at the end of june(applied March), and I am pretty worried: I am going for a weeding for which spend already almost 5000 dol.

Expediting RTD

It's so funny people that applied in Jan-07 already got their documents.

For those of you who have a trip approaching, I STRONGLY advice you for expediting processing.

I applied to mine in October-06 and had a trip planned for Feb 8th '07. I received RFE in late Dec 07 and KNEW that my trip was in jeopardy.

So I sent a letter (see copy below) to USCIS and got my RTD in 2 weeks. If your trip is within a month, I strongly advice you to request expedite. My trip was not for work or other strong reasons, I just said "a trip". Good luck to you all.

I just got my RTD approved today!! My ND is Juanuary 2007...
I sent the letters from my school to expedite the document directly to NSC but as expected nothing happened....
So I waited several weeks and then I asked my local congressman office to help me, they sent a fax and an email to NSC, with the letters from my school, and they responded them within 2 days saying that they received the fax and I should have my RTD within 10 days.... 5 days later I got my RTD approved....

For all of you that their trip are close, ask for help from your congressman office...
