Has anybody rescheduled cp interview from MUMBAI!! Gurus please help

re-scheduling possible

I am not a Guru... I have seen a few correspondences on this website for re-scheduling. SachinG (active member on this board) got it postponed.

I am one of the persons, who want to pre-pone under unusual circumstance, while you want to post-pone.
 
I rescheduled it from Feb 02 to April 2002

No problem just send a mail to the mumbai consulate.

I also want to postpone my interview though I haven\'t sent my P3 yet. I\'m thinking of sending it 2 months later. But if we can postpone it then I would like to send P3 now.

Good observation !!! my case is different I have two I-140 from the old co. as well as one from the new megerd/acquired co.

Could you please tell me how many days before your interview you informed Mumbai consulate???
Did you ask specifically for April date or they themselves gave you April date??? Please let me know ASAP.

It took another 4 months for me to get new date

I postpond my interview which was in October\'2000 , got my new date as Feb\'2002, exactly 4-months. Its my first hand experience tho it might vary.

Just a day before

I can answer this question as well. In my case my parents submitted my request for postpondment just a day before my interview. But please don\'t follow my example. If you\'r certain you wanna postpond, send the request right away to get an early interview.
 
Thanks HisMstrpce. Did you ask new date or they just assigned you?

Were you happy with new dates or you tried to change it? (What I mean is if 4 months is two much can we request 2 months?)

My lawyers sent a mail to the consulate and i also sent an email to postpone and give me april date and they agreed. i aslo recd the pkt 4 last weel in india.

I might have sent them a mail 3/4 days before my interview.The lawyer sent the mail one week before the interview.
