Has any one heard this before?

Guys, Heard something from my attorny and could not beleive it so wanted to ask you folks what you guys think.


I asked him that I will be out of country for one month starting from end of Dec, what happans if my 485 get approved during that? should i come back right away using AP?

here is the answer.

"No, you don't have to, we will send you approval notice to india and you can go to US consulate and get it stamped on your passport and then come on GC"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAS ANY ONE HEARD THIS BEFORE? I DON'T THINK THIS IS CORRECT

I'm also planning some travel soon and I am curious about such a possibility.

You're right, it's not correct.

You return using AP (no need to hurry back, just return at the end of the one month) and then get your passport stamped at the local USCIS office.
