Folks,
My case seems to be a miracle too: I filed my I-140 in Oct 2003 and my I-485 in Dec 2003 at Vermont. We finished our FP on Nov 05 2004, Vermont received them on Nov 16 2004. Now, my I-140 and I-485 were concurrently approved on Dec 10 2004. Best Christmas gift I ever got!
A couple of quick questions:
1) My wife's I-485 has not yet got approved, although I was the primary applicant.
------ if your wife I-485 is filed then no problem if your wife filed I-485 later then some time USCIS forget to attach with your I-485 file, if filed both the I-485 at same time then she may be approved in few days.
2) I have made an appointment via InfoPass for Dec 30 for the I-551 passport stamp. Can anyone tell me what to expect?
Will there be an interview?
---no
What documents should I take along with me?
---take the Infopass, your I-485 approval, passport ,your DL, 2 Passport style photographs(write your name, A# dob back side of photographs with pencil) alll EAD and AP, show the approval notice
If I get the stamp, is this really the end of the tunnel?
---Yes
Is subsequent receipt of the actual green card only a formality? How long does it take to arrive?
------ Local USCIS has to take your Fingerprint and signature on the form for making Card then they will send it to service center to make the card. due to vacations it may be delay for the actual Card, it takes 2-3 month from the date you get your PP stamped, many have got GC card in 1 month or 20-25 days after PP stamp
Thanks a lot!
