Hi Gurus,

My spouse is an MD from india and thinking of giving USMLE. However, he also wants to take up some part time research job while in US. Could you please give us ur valuable advice as to how do we go about it?

We really require guidance..My spouse will be coming to US on H4 but does not at all want to stay back home...Plzzzzz guide
 
He can do research

HE can do lab or clinical research.
He should look into the local medical school or research based hospitals.
Having research experience will also help with applying for residency.

Are these research programmes paid? I mean is there any fees for it? Can he get some research programme which is free. Since he is coming on H4, is it possible to get into research?

I am in lynchburg, virginia. Will be very helpful if he gets a research programme over here
 
There are position available in university in clinical research and pay as much as $36K tax free.
