Since I benefitted a lot from this forum, I would like to share my experience. My wife had no difficulty converting H4 to H1. She has an academic job. They had a cursory look at copies of I129, LCA etc, and asked some general questions about my job. Incidentally, she does not have a US degree or US work experience. They did not ask to see original degrees.

Hi sanjay1509
Congrats for getting H1 stamp @ vancouver,
I have a question for you. Is there any specific time to book the appointment for US Consulate in Canada?
I tried nvars.com, entered my passport nos. and reference nos. then went to the Calendar which shows the available appointments for each day in a month. When I clicked the date, it shows me available appintment for that week and didn't display any navigation with which I can book the appointment.

I would be glad if you can let me know about how to book an appointment for US Consulate Canada.
