Hello everyone,
I am on a H1-B visa myself, working in the US. I got married in Calcutta a few weeks back. My wife is from Calcutta, but she is a student in New Delhi. Currently, she is back in New Delhi to finish her studies. Also, she got her passport when she was in New Delhi, so the passport has her Delhi address.
My question is: I am trying to get a H4 visa appointment for my wife. Should I apply at the Delhi center or at Calcutta?
The VFS website says you must have documentary evidence to prove your “state of residence”. My wife has a Delhi driver license. But in some sense, she is a resident of Calcutta. I don’t want to take any risk.
Please advise.
