Dear Experts

I am on a H4 visa sponsored by my spouse .I am unemployed and do not generate any income.I look after the children and is a home maker as of now.Recently me and my spouse have developed difference of opinions and i have started living with a common friend of ours who is supporting me for my stay and food.

I have the following clarifications and would appreciate if some one could help me to tide over the situation.

1) Can my spouse cancel my H4 Status without filing for a divorcee
2) Do i have the right of information about my status from our lawyer thou it is his lawyer
3)Does he have rights to cancel Auto and Health insurances
4Where do i get free legal help since i am unemployed and do not have any place to go other than some common friends

1) Can my spouse cancel my H4 Status without filing for a divorcee. As far as you are his legal spouse, cancelling H4 is not possible.2) Do i have the right of information about my status from our lawyer thou it is his lawyer.

Mind it, you filed your H4 based on your marriage ties.(not your spouse) Only you can cancell your H4 not your spouse or attorney. If divorce happen you loose your H4 status. Explore the possibilities of changing to F1 or getting an H1 if qualify.
3)Does he have rights to cancel Auto and Health insurances. YES4Where do i get free legal help since i am unemployed and do not have any place to go other than some common friends

Before getting legal help, first decide yourself. Are you planning to re join with him, or mutual divorce. Did you contact your parents etc.
