Is it possible to get a work permit for someone with an h4 visa?
---- NO, H4 is not allowed to work, if he/she is qualified for H1 and employer is ready to file H1b and have job can apply for H1 change of status from H4 to H1B. The other option is only when you file I-140 and your and her I-485, EAD, AP he/she will get EAD and can work
