h4 visa

I am due to get married in mid december. My fiance is on h1 B visa .I have the following queries:

1. How long will it take to get an H4 visa.

2. When can I start working when I join him.

1. Answer depends on where are you located? If you are in home country, it should not take more than 1 week to get the h4 visa in the passport.
2. H4 visa holders are not authorized to work in the US.
