I got my H1 extension in US but no stamping. In this case do they stamp H4 visa for my wife immediately. I remember some one mentioning that it might take weeks if the principal applicant doesn't have the stamping. i couldn't track that thread. If any one gone thru this situation. Please respond.
Also we come under chennai consulate's jurisdiction, but my wife already had one stamping before and was here in US for 2 years. I presume she fall under Indian citizen resident in US. Can she go to other consulates in India.
