Hi:
Wanted to know details about the H4 visa stamping.
1. What are the documents needed to apply for H4 visa for the first time?
2. Is a interview required?
3. Is there any specific document I need to take from my employer for this?
4. PASSPORT ENDORSEMENT: I understand my wife will have to get her passport
annotated or have my name added in the place of the name ofd spouse in her passport.
a. Is this still needed?
b. How do I get this done? What documents are needed for this?
5. Is there any web site that gives the details of the process?

1. Generally, passport, DS156, photo, DD, your h1(copy is enough), your passport pages, marriage certificate, other proofs of marriage (photo album, invitation etc) and a letter from your employer confirming your employment and a para -please approve so and so's spouse's visa, support letter from you (paystubs, bank statement) and cover letter listing all docs and requesting h4 with multiple entries.

Follow up question

My wife currently works in a Government University in India. Does she need a clearance from her University to apply for the H4 visa? Would the US consulate ask for this?
