My wife is going for her H4 visa stamping at chennai consulate. She resigned from her job as software engieer in the early march , but her last day at work is in April ( after the Visa appointment date) as her company requires one month notice ( i.e employees have to work 30 days from the date of resignation ) . Is this a problem and can visa officer deny visa as she has been working as software engieer, some of my friends told me not to put information about her present employer and her occupation in the visa form. Iam really confused. Please let me know what is the best course of action. Her visa appointment is on very soon..so I will truly appreciate a quick response.

Don't worry. There is no problem if she is working or has been working. Maximum the officer will ask few questions like why are u ready to leave your job and go as dependent? or are u sure u won't be working there? she needs to be confident. In fact she can add that I am willing to go as dependent and for that purpose I have already resigned. My last data is so and so. But all these come only if asked.
Remember that the cost of hiding information will be much heavy if they are somehow able to catch the lie.

don't worry and go ahead with whats right and true.

aspirant.
