Hi,
I "would-be-wife" has a H4 visa appointment in January. She is currently working in Bangalore. When she applied for the visa appointment, she had to fill out the application form including DS156 form. The VFS people told her to state her status as of application date and if there are any changes get supporting documentation to the interview. So she filled her status as "WORKING" instead of "HOUSE WIFE". And now her company is trying to send her through L1 but nothing has finalized yet. The company is ready to give her an un-paid vacation and let her attend H4. My question is:
- Is it ok if she says she is still working at this company and is on leave in the interview? Or is it better to say that she resigned. If so, they may ask for the resignation/relieving letter right?
- ANd if her company gets her a L1, she might go back to the consulate for her L1 VISA. So should she tell "WORKING on LEAVE" or "HOUSE WIFE" for the H4 VISA?
Thank you. Any input is appreciated.
