H4 visa question

I am going to get married in Mexico with a mexican citizen and I want to know if my wife-to-be can enter the US with her B1/B2 visa and then apply for a change of status using form I-539 ?

Has anyone had any experience like this or know anybody in the same situation ? Thanks for the help.

*** after marriage to you she may not get US Visitor visa, if you are on H1 then she will get H4 visa

I have an H1B. So I know she will need to get an H4. But can we do all the paperwork here or is it better to get the H4 stamped in a consulate in mexico before entering the US ?

---better get H4 Visa stamped in US consulate in Mexico then enter US on H4
