Good morning.
I got a question reg my H1 Stamping.
My passport has a H1B stamping, sponsored by my previous company
and expires on '21 Aug 2006'. I joined a new company last year
(dec 4 , 2004) , made a trip to India the same month and retuned back on
the 4th of Jan 2005. In the port of entry, I provided the Customs
Officer with my latest approval notice from my new company. He noted down the EAC
number and expiration date ('20 May 2006') from the new company's Approval
notice on my passport.
This being the case, am planning to make a trip this July to get
married. I managed to get a Consulate appointment on July 21 for my
spouse's H4 visa.
My doubt is:
Will it be ok if I don't have my new company's stamping on my passport? Is it
mandatory that I should get an appointment and get a new H1 stamping
before my spouse applies for her H4?
It would be of great help if someone can advice me on this, at your earliest
convenience.
Thanks much in advance.
