H4 visa effect H1 Filing ?

Hi Rajiv,

I got married on Jan first week, and I am working on a H1 B visa. I want to bring my wife on a H4, and then file a H1 B in April. Now she is not going to travel until mid of April.
1) So does it make sense to wait for the H4 filing after H1 B gets filed ( that is after April 1-st) ?
2) Or is it ok to file for her H4 in February itself and then file for H1, even though she is not traveling before April Mid.

I wanted to know, whether a H4 stamping on the passport, and not traveling immediately, will have any effect on H1 B filing ?. Also in future, if her H1b visa gets approved, but if she has difficulty in finding a Job immediately, will that effect her H4 visa status ?

Your help will be highly appreciated,

Thanks

------------- H1 is filed in April. If she is out of US then employer can file H1 for her and once H1 gets approved then she have to get H1 visa stamp and can enter on H1 status. if she comes Before April on H4 status by getting H4 visa stamp from US Consulate then her employer can file H4 to H1 change of status.

-------------- H4 is not filed by Employer. H4 Visa is based on your H1 status and she can get H4 visa stamp from US consulate.
