H4 visa documents

I heared that now for h4 visa the consullers are asking the w2 of the spouse and also lca and other stuff. Is it true?
And if the salary specified in LCA and W2 doesn't match what will happen?

---- -----It is true. They are asking W-2 and I-129 + LCA of the H1 holder, H4 holder has no LCA or W-2 because he/she is not working
And if the salary specified in LCA and W2 doesn't match what will happen?
---- ------If the salary specified in LCA and W2 doesn't match for the H1 holder then it is violation of H1B status from employer side and employee is also penalized. BENCH, TABLE, CHAIR is NOT allowed by DOL.If it is Chennai consulate in India then face difficulties for you and H4 to your spouse may be denied and employer records may be investigated and may be fined by DOL, you should read the other threads will come to know what documents are being asked for H4 visa stamping in different consulates, Chennai consulate needs truck load of documents and still no guarantee that they will stamp H4 visa for your spouse, many are waiting for long time

Did'nt ask for the W2 or LCA in June 03. (I'm assuming LCA is not the part of H1-B petition sent to Labor dept.)

LCA is part of H1B petition that is sent to BCIS with I-129
Employer gets LCA from DOL and attaches with I-129
 
Not sure whether the packet shown to consulate (copy recd. from the attorney) had the LCA.
