H4 Visa delay due to Administrative Processing

Hi,
I am writing this to see where I am with this blood sucking problem we are having. My wife was interviewed on first week of Dec 2003 at Dhaka US Embassy. They initially told her that they will call her within next 2\3 weeks. Now it has been more than 9 damn months, the embassy is still saying that her case is under administrative processing and they will call us when ready. Emailing them doesn't return a reply. Calling them is also painful as they say the same thing.
It will be very helpfull, if could know how long will it take for the Administrative Processing? So I am wondering if anyone else are in same situation and share their experience with me. At leat we will get some comfort.

They must give you a specific reason for the delay. What a delay this has been for you. I feel very sorry for you and your wife. Admin. processing is usually done to do background/name check on either you or your wife. This was the case with one of my freinds whose wife was stuck under this kind of processing. They told him that she shared her name with one of wanted females in America BUT it got cleared in three months or so. You must press them for specifics. Good luck
