H4 visa after second marriage

Hi Rajiv,

I got married in March 2007, my ex-wife came to US and went back to India in May 2007 and never returned. We got mutual divorce in Dec 2009 in India.

I changed my employer and I have a new Visa extension as single status. I always filed my taxes as single as well as my GC is in process as Single. I never mentioned in any of INS papers as divorced and maintained my status as single/never married for new H1 and GC filing.

I am dating a girl on L1 VISA and we are planning to get married here in US. After marriage, she has to quit her job and become my dependent. What care we need to take so we don't get into H4 Visa troubles?

-------------For any USCIS paper you were supposed to write "Divorced" if filed any paper after your Divorce . How you can answer: Never married? you WERE married.

---- First get married (you will need Marriage certificate and Divorce certificate from your previous wife) then she can file L1 to H4 COS
