I am on h4 atpresent.last year i was not ableto do my residency because i was toldthat to change mystatus from h4 to j1 I need to go out of the countryand incase if my j visa isrejected there isachancethatmy existing h4 might also becancelled inwhich case I will have to go back to India.So i thought i shud not take achance.Isthere any way that I can apply for jvisa from h4 within us.?Do they do in uscis?howlong does ittake.?
