hi

I have recently moved to US under the H4 status with my husband who is working on HIB currently,incase a co. is ready to sponsor me and files my papers in april 2007,how long does it take in approval of tha same and also till the time it is not approved but has been filed can i work for that co.or do i have to wait till its approval?
Please advise as the co. wants me to join immediately.

Hello Prachi,

As per my knowledge: The Petition would be approved in couple of months time, ofcourse how sooner your case is filed with USCIS. You can be on a payroll of a company only after 1st OCT. It would be illegal otherwise.

I am in same boat as yours. However I am still looking for a sponsor.
