H4 to h1b to h4

Hi,
My wife has H4 stamping on her passport.
She worked for 6 monthd on H1 visa.(Not stamped)
Now she has converted back to H4 from H1.


I read that renewing or replacing visa of the same catogory can use drop box in India for stamping. does the above explained fall under same catogory renewal?

Can she use drop box with the rules effective July14th 2003?

How did she get back on h4? if she did not visit a US consulate to get back on H4 (from h1), she might be required to attend the interview.
Email the consulate with specific date details and mode of change of status/reversal of status, they might respond.
 
Well... the passport has old h4,The h1b is not stamped on her passport.Now she has new H4 papers.My question is as she had H4 stamping before ,Can she use the drop box to stamp h4 visa ,as it all falls under H catogory.
 
Since she worked for a while, she might not be eligible for the drop box is the generic response. Let me rephrase my question, Did she do a H1 to H4 again, was it a mere H4 extension done-
