Hi ...I am presently holding an h4 visa(never enterd US). My wife is working in US and I plan to visit her in the month of October 2004.
But meanwhile one company had applied for my h1b from Vermont on 24th sept 2004(receipt date).
Since I dont have any status of my approval about h1b in this situation:
a) If I travel to US for 2 month(on h4) does it in anyway impact my chance of obtaining H1B ?
b) While I am in US and supposing I get my approval for H1, then can I get it converted while in US or do I need to getback to my home city consulate and get it approved. ?
c) For typical cases like mine does the consulate take a -ve view ie a person enters as H4 then he has next entered on H1..stating hidden intetent was there during h4 visit?
d) Can I hold a B1 and H1 visa simulataneously ... my Indian company wants me to have B1 ..but if I file for B1 how does it impact the h4 and or h1
